Congratulations Stewart!
We are delighted to confirm that Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has announced Stewart Grant as their new Vice-Chair of the Property and Construction Group. Congratulations Stewart!
Poole Dick were the first Quantity Surveyors that Stewart worked with when he qualified back in (well, let’s just say a long time ago!). So it was quite fitting that he joined us as a consultant back in 2016 to help identify and achieve our business growth objectives. In the last couple of years, Stewart has worked closely with our management team to develop and implement a people-focused business plan entitled ‘New Decade: New Beginnings’.
Launched in February 2020, little did we know how our world was about to change! But it’s been invaluable in helping us maintain focus on how our ‘Business Strategy’ needs to constantly evolve in response to external and internal factors.
Stewart recently chaired our ‘Towards a Net Zero Carbon Future – Are we on track?’ event at Greater Manchester Chamber’s offices in Manchester.
Splitting his time between consultancy, education, pro-bono and charity activities, Stewart is well known in the North West property and construction sector. After 5 years as Chair of FBE Manchester, he stepped down in 2021 to pursue other interests.
Stewart is also a consultant with Hydrock and Falconer Chester Hall. He is a Registered Architect with over 35 years’ experience in mainstream architectural practice.
He will be working alongside Duncan Firth of Walker Sime, who has been appointed as their new Chair.
Diane Elebert-Morgan, Property and Construction Group Manager at Greater Manchester Chamber, said: “I have known Duncan and Stewart for a number of years now through the Chamber’s Property and Construction Group.
“I am looking forward to working closely with them both to deliver topical and informative events throughout 2022, and to continue our policy and campaign work to be the voice of our members regarding all construction sector matters.”
