Nicky joined us in 2011. She is the Office Manager for the Manchester office. Every office needs a ‘fixer’ and Nicky has a pragmatic “I’ll sort it” attitude to work and life. Since leaving full-time education, Nicky has worked predominantly in administration roles, although her main job was raising her two boys in the early days.

Day to Day Operations

Nicky plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office and supporting the wider construction management team. With over 35 years of experience in administrative roles, she is responsible for overseeing office systems, coordinating project schedules, and managing client and contractor communications.

Her role involves handling key administrative tasks, such as procurement, budget tracking, and accounts management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. She is highly proficient in construction management software, streamlining processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Known for her organisational expertise and attention to detail, Nicky ensures that all documentation, contracts, and project reports are meticulously maintained. She acts as a vital link between project managers, contractors, and clients, ensuring that deadlines are met, and projects are executed smoothly.

In a fast-paced and often challenging environment, she thrives on problem-solving, quickly addressing any issues that arise, and offering proactive solutions to keep projects on track. Her ability to multitask, along with her strong communication and leadership skills, make her an invaluable asset to the company’s success.

Outside of Work

Nicky’s life currently revolves around renovations, working towards upgrading from the shed to the barn!
