Emma Howarth
Associate
Emma joined the practice in 2000 and continued her studies at Salford University, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying in 2005. Emma diligently worked towards her Chartership and was elected as a Member of the RICS in 2014. Emma became an Associate Director of Poole Dick in 2020.

Project Experience
Emma has an active hands-on role within the company, managing numerous projects at any one time with the support of the rest of the team from inception to completion.
As an Associate, she has overall control of each project and works with junior/apprentice members to ensure that they are given the correct experience to develop their careers. Poole Dick believe that hands-on experience is the best way to learn and
expand an inquisitive mind.
Emma manages the company training programme and ensures that all parties are up to date with current legislation, ways of working, and the current technologies that are available to clients, such as off-site manufacture, focusing on technical and soft skills training.
Emma also leads the company’s APC programme, ensuring support for staff wanting to become Chartered, expanding this service outside of the company.

- Bury Fusiliers Museum (phase 1 and 2) new build and refurbishment to create a museum, followed by a roofing project on the existing Grade II listed building.

Outside of Work.
Emma is a guide leader in charge of both a Brownie and a Rainbow Unit, and a Growth and Development coordinator within Girl Guiding Northwest England.
A Bolton Wanderers supporter, Emma goes to games whenever possible. Emma also enjoys going to the gym, supporting runners at my local running club, where she has qualified as an England Athletics run leader, and also enjoys open water swimming and road cycling.
