BSc, MRICS
Following a Diploma in Building Studies, Andy enrolled at Liverpool John Moores University, where he graduated with a BSc in Quantity Surveying in 1988. Having spent his industrial training year with us, he was offered a full-time position with the company – and has not looked back since!
Andy became chartered in 1991 and progressed through the company, before becoming an Associate Director in 2001, Regional Director in 2009 and Board Director in 2017.
Projects
In a career that has spanned over thirty years, which has seen Andy work on most types of projects, in most sectors and for too many clients to mention in both the public and private sectors.
Andy is now responsible for managing the Manchester office, ensuring systems and procedures are up to date to enable the practice to stay at the top of its game, while keeping abreast of the latest technologies and legislation that govern our industry.
However, Andy still finds time to take the lead on and get involved at the inception of projects helping clients make the right procurement and tendering decisions to ensure they get the best value from their development programmes. And in between all that you’ll find Andy out and about on the North West networking scene looking to secure the next commission.
Andy specialises in the residential sector and has experience in fully off-site manufactured houses and sustainable developments.

Outside of Work
Andy has been married for over 30 years and has “two wonderful daughters, Charlotte and Emily”. His hobbies have included badminton, squash, golf, mountain biking, diving, and road cycling. These days, while he still dabbles in some of these activities, when not working you’ll find him either at the gym, outdoors in the garden, hiking, or more often than not, undertaking yet another DIY project “his wife has dreamt up”!
