A design and build contract to undertake a strip out and Category B fit out to rationalise the Ombudsman Services headquarters. The second floor involved creating a Contact Centre, offices and meeting rooms. Works were instructed to also form a ground floor café, rest/ breakout and other ancillary areas. As part of the project, Category A fit out fabric and M&E had to be adapted to suit the client’s requirement for open aspects.
Key Considerations
The strip out and full Category B fit out was undertaken in just four months.
The Outcome
The project was delivered on time and to the client’s budget.
Results
This initial phase was followed by three more commissions to refurbish the first and ground floors, reception, training and staff facilities.
