Refurbishment and Maintenance

The Challenge

Throughout the Honeycomb Group, the brands work with the community’s needs in mind and this includes: affordable housing, domestic abuse support, home improvements and community education that prevents homelessness.

We undertook the retendering of Price Per Property and Price Per Void responsive maintenance tender, having managed the tendering process five years prior also. This TAC-1 contract included service to the domestic violence accommodations, all with differing requirements.

We worked to strict KPIs to maintain quality service delivery standards. The integration of innovative reporting and management technology included a customer reporting app. We also had to manage multiple stakeholder engagement including: housing management, customers, housing repair officers, IT and finance.

We undertook market research on opinion and important aspects of the PPP/PPV vs SOR to inform the tender strategy.

Key Considerations

Our timescales were fixed to the end of the incumbent contract and there was no option of postponement on the responsive maintenance.
