The Challenge

The works comprised the construction of a steel frame warehouse storage/distribution facility on the client’s existing site, in a bid to drive efficiencies in their business and reduce their carbon footprint, by not having to store manufacturing products in Milton Keynes. The works were undertaken under a JCT Design and Build contract.

Key Considerations

The programme is a key consideration for the client on this development because of a terminating lease agreement it is essential to have the works completed by Summer 2021. Despite a number of client changes and current difficult pandemic working conditions, the contractor has been able to maintain its programme.
