Haybridge Hall, Telford

Heritage

The Challenge

This project involved the retention of the existing two main feature Victorian elevations, followed by the construction of 10 newly refurbished one and two bedroom apartments, together with associated external, services and infrastructure works. Internal features were added to reflect the former building, including the incorporation of a salvaged feature fireplace, floor tiling and stained glass panels.

Key Considerations

As the original contractor went out of business in 2018, and the completion of the project was already over-running before the pandemic impacted, this was a difficult project to manage in terms of timescales and delivery.

The Outcome

The works were handed over in January 2021.

Results

Despite the impact of the pandemic and up against it with the fact that the hand over should have originally been the previous March, we were still able to deliver at the beginning of 2021.
